This class is intended for the beginner with no experience in pottery but open to anybody of any skill level who would like to work with clay in a class setting. Class will cover the basics of hand building and the skills necessary to create small functional wares like mugs + vases + planters etc. Class includes clay + glaze + Kiln firing (cone^6) + shelf space and tools.

Students will have access to open studio outside of class time to come in and work. Use of pottery wheels not included in hand building courses. Tools + clay included.

What should I wear? Pottery is essentially playing with mud so bring some clothes you dont mind getting dirty!

Need to miss a class?

Due to the time constraints and the course timeline. We cannot offer make up sessions for hand building courses. If you cannot attend all sessions we recommend waiting to register for a session that works better for your calendar.
