RAIN creative clay studio is a small production studio in the heart of Capital Hill, Seattle.

This class is intended for the intermediate potter and will build off skills learned in the beginner class. Class will work towards refining skills such as wall thickness, height and throwing bigger pieces. Basic forms we will cover include larger bowls, closed vessels and lidded jars.

Class includes clay + glaze + Kiln firing (cone^6) + shelf space.

You will be provided with a set of tools and bucket for you to use.

RAIN studio is strictly a white wet clay studio with a kiln that fires to cone^6. You are welcomed to bring your own materials as long as they comply with those guidlines.

What should I wear? Pottery is essentially playing with mud so bring some clothes you dont mind getting dirty! Make sure to have long hair up for saftey reasons and avoid long scarves or anything that might drape over the spinning wheel head.

Bring an old dish towel to wipe clay off your hands.

Students will recieve a link where you may schedule time to be in the studio during open hours (when class is not in session).
